Hydrafacials
Made by the global leaders in skin health technology, a Hydrafacial is a type of facial treatment that relies on patented technology.
Unlike regular facials – which involve manual treatments – your therapist uses a Hydrafacial applicator wand to cleanse, extract and hydrate.
The Vortex Fusion technology in the wand acts like a vacuum, cleansing with a gentle peel before lightly suctioning out impurities from your pores.
We then apply a HydraFacial booster, a moisturising blend of peptides and antioxidants that penetrates more deeply following extraction.
It’s faster and more effective than manual facials – and ideal for hyperpigmentation, fine lines, elasticity, hydration, congestion, dark spots, redness, enlarged pore sizes, and acne scarring.
Hydrafacial also has the capabilities to perform lymphatic therapy which helps remove impurities from the skin to lift and contour while reducing the appearance of puffiness.
Benefits
A facial helps you feel great – but it’s also a way to support your skin’s health and long-term appearance.
A facial removes impurities from your skin, which can shrink your pores and modulate sebum production.
The cleansing and exfoliating stages of a facial promote blood flow, which supports faster cell turnover.
pH-matched facial products can help restore your skin’s natural pH level and offset the effects of cosmetics and at-home cleansers.
Regular facials can reduce the visibility of age-related like hyperpigmentation and wrinkles.
Go deeper than a facial with proprietary, clinically validated treatments like REJURAN® and DMK Enzyme Therapy.
Add-Ons
Most facial treatments don’t cover your neck, lips, or periorbital skin (the skin around your eyes).
But each of those areas can have a dramatic impact on your overall appearance – especially if the rest of your face looks fresh, hydrated and smooth.
Our facial add-ons include targeted treatments for your neck and décolletage, as well as Hydrafacial Perk Lip and Eye.
Each one gently exfoliates and visibly hydrates for brighter, more toned skin and fewer wrinkles.
Our Differences
As a full-spectrum aesthetic clinic, we’ll pair you with the right treatment pathways for your skin.
Benefit from the experience of paramedical skin technicians, including qualified cosmetic nurses.
Each facial treatment is tailored to match your facial profile and skin concerns.
Specialised products that go above and beyond pampering and anti-ageing treatments.
A facial treatment is a non-invasive skin treatment for your face. It’s like your normal skin routine, but performed by a qualified therapist over 30 minutes to an hour and a half. A standard facial involves:
Some facials, like ours, also involve pre- and post-treatment conversations about your skin concerns, lifestyle, and product usage.
The frequency of your facials depends on your skincare goals and current routine. If you have few skin concerns and a good at-home routine, a maintenance facial every 4–6 weeks might be all you need.
On the other hand, if you have specific concerns that you’re looking to address, you might benefit from more high-frequency corrective sessions. After your therapist has treated your initial concerns, they’ll generally recommend an ongoing, lower-frequency maintenance schedule.
A single facial isn’t a silver bullet for better skin – but regular treatments can make a big impact, especially in conjunction with a good skin regimen. The combination of cleansing, exfoliating, masking (or extracting) and moisturising can help clear out stubborn impurities that your at-home washes and exfoliants have missed.
Importantly, your in-clinic facials are conducted by qualified therapist. That means treatments are targeted at specific skin concerns (like acne or age-related damage), with appropriate products being selected based on your skin type and medical history. Your skin’s natural pH level is also supported, which can deliver better results with fewer side effects (and less impact on your skin microbiome).
Directly after a facial, your skin will generally feel smoother and less oily. It should also look more toned and hydrated, although some people do experience post-treatment irritation (also known as ‘purging’). Regular treatments over time can reduce age-related damage like wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, lessen acne, and soften old scars. You’ll also walk away feeling incredibly relaxed – the best kind of treatment for those frown lines!
Yes, you might experience acne, dry skin, and/or other skin irritation after a facial. It’s especially likely if you don’t have a regular skin routine or if your facial is corrective in nature. For that reason, we recommend booking first-time or corrective facials around a month in advance of any important events.
We can’t perform a facial if you have broken skin (such as cuts or open sores), recent sunburn, or active skin conditions (such as cold sores). Other contraindications can include allergies to products we use and certain medical conditions and medication.
During your initial consultation at our Airlie Beach clinic, we’ll collect information about your medical history, including current medication usage. Your cosmetic nurse will discuss any treatment restrictions once we’ve reviewed that information.
If you do develop an acute contraindication (like a cut, open sore, or sunburn), please call and cancel – due to health and safety requirements, we won’t be able to treat you, so cancelling ahead of time makes it easier for us to rebook you at a later date.
