What is enzyme therapy?

DMK’s signature enzyme therapy creates a process called ‘reverse osmosis’, which helps to flush out toxins from the skin, whilst encouraging blood circulation bringing fresh oxygen to the area and improving lymphatic drainage, for optimal skin function.

How does enzyme therapy work?

DMK Enzyme Therapy is not a “facial” that simply treats the top of the skin. It is the only treatment available of its kind that uses transfer messenger enzymes to provide optimal skin function at a cellular level. It works with the internal functioning of the skin to increase circulation, oxygenation, and lymphatic drainage through reverse osmosis to backlash fluids through the cell wall, leaving a clean, clear, toxin-free matrix. Enzyme Therapy stimulates fibroblast cells and enhances collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycan (GAGS) production. It strengthens and firms the skin, improves cellular communication, and induces a “plasmatic effect” by dilating peripheral capillaries and improving oxygen uptake by the cells. It is true oxygen therapy.

What are the benefits of enzyme therapy?

Softer, smoother skin, decrease in fine lines and improved skin tone.

Due to their gentle nature and varied enzyme treatments available, DMK treatments are used to revise many skin conditions such as acne, signs of ageing, impaired or over sensitive skin, sun damage, psoriasis, eczema and rosacea, at a cellular level by re training the skin.

The underlying benefits that come from Enzyme Therapy is Brightened skin. This is a result of the enzyme encouraging fresh blood, oxygen and nutrients to the treated area, giving you brighter, more hydrated skin.

Detoxification – the most important part of the enzyme therapy is its link to the lymphatic system to stimulate detoxification to help get rid of dead skin cells and toxins built up in the skin. Enzyme therapy also helps build stronger skin barriers. Including both the facial muscles and structural make up of your skin.

How many treatments are recommended?

The number of treatments you require varies depending on the severity of your skin condition, how long you have had it, and if there are any underlying contributing factors. Why is my skin breaking out after treatments?

It is perfectly normal to experience breakouts after DMK treatments, though they are not causing them. This is a process we call ‘purging’, which is when our treatments release underlying congestion trapped deep down within the pores and pushes it up to the surface. We see this is a positive response as we are waking up skin functions that were not working optimally. We want to encourage purging as part of the REMOVE phase of the DMK concept. With consistent treatments and use of your DMK Home Prescriptive products these breakouts will clear up as quickly as possible.

What is the plasmatic effect (red marks/red visible veins) after enzyme therapy?

If you have had a crisscross of red veins appear where your Enzyme Masque was after a treatment that is fantastic! It means that your capillaries have been flushed of toxins and the blood has been loaded up with fresh oxygen and nutrients to deliver to your skin cells. DMK calls this the Plasmatic Effect™ and it is a great way to determine how optimally your skin is functioning. The stronger the Plasmatic Effect™ the healthier your skin! It does not hurt, nor does the skin experience any change in temperature due to the Plasmatic Effect™. Usually about 10-20 minutes after a treatment the Plasmatic Effect™ will disappear entirely, leaving you with post Enzyme glowing skin!

What is muscle banding?

This custom DMK Skincare treatment begins with the Signature Enzyme Treatment, with the added Muscle Banding enzyme, which is designed to lift and tighten sagging facial muscles by sending deep contracting signals to the face and neck. This remarkable DMK treatment works to revise the skin and stimulate new collagen production, while helping to restore optimal skin function.

DMK Muscle Banding is wonderful for men and women seeking to address loss of skin volume and elasticity, sagging skin, and other visible signs of aging. The results speak for themselves, and visible results will be experienced after the first treatment, with cumulative results after additional treatments.

What should I expect during my treatment?

Dress comfortably as Enzymes Treatments include the Decolletage. Your skin will be assessed and analyzed. We will then thoroughly cleanse and gently exfoliate your skin. This helps to begin the microcirculation process so your Enzyme Therapy can perform optimally. The enzyme or mixture of enzymes is brushed onto the skin and remains for 45 minutes.

The mask will harden and you will likely feeling a pulsing sensation in the area being treated. This is the enzyme working its magic and gently flushing toxins from the cells and delivering freshly oxygenated blood to the tissue. The mask will feel very tight, and this is completely normal. The enzyme is removed with a good amount of cleanser and warm towels.

Your skin may have a noticeable “capillary map” on the treated area. This is DMKs famous “plasmatic effect” and indicates true oxygenation of the tissue. The disappears within 30-60 minutes. Transepidermal products will be used on the skin for a beautiful Glowing outcome. Home Prescriptives will be recommended to maintain your results.

What is the downtime with DMK treatments?

There is no downtime, with DMK Treatments.

Is DMK natural or organic?

DMK uses 99% active botanical ingredients, which need to be carefully preserved. That is why DMK uses 1% chemical preservatives in some of the formulations because they are the most stable and safest to use for both the consumer and the products. Therefore, DMK is not 100% organic.
